چکیده
In this paper, a photoelastic tactile transducer is modelled and analyzed using Finite-Element Analysis (F'EA). The effects of both normal and tangential forces are considered. Two different boundary conditions are examined for a transducer whose compliant protective layer has different mechanical properties from the photoelastic layer.

Fuzzy Logic Applications to Power Electronics and Drives - An Overview - Industrial Electronics, Control, and Instrumentation, 1995., Proceedings of the 1995 IEEE IECON 21
Applications of fuzzy logic (FL) to power electronics and drives are on the rise. The paper discusses some representative applications of FL in the area, preceded by an interpretative review of fuzzy logic controller (FLC) theory. A discussion on design and implementation aspects is presented, that also considers the interaction of neural networks and fuzzy logic techniques. Finally, strengths ...
متن کاملTHE PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF INDUCTION MOTORS WITH ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS - Industrial Electronics, Control, and Instrumentation, 1995., Proceedings of the 1995 IEEE IECON 21
Abstruct Induction motors are exited machines used in a lot of areas in industry because o f the features like the simpleness of the structure, the easiness of the control and the necessity of the fewer care. One of priority reasons of induction motors is that the speed adjusting can easily be done by wide ranges by means of the developing of solid-state technology. In this paper, it is put for...
متن کاملModeling of Tactile Detection of an Artery in a Soft Tissue by Finite Element Analysis
Nowadays, one of the main problems encountered in minimally invasive surgery and telesurgery is the detection of arteries in tissue. In this study, for the first time, tactile detection of an artery in tissue and distinguishing it from the tumor has been modeled by finite element method. In this modeling, three 2D models of tissue have been created: tissue, tissue including a tumor, and tissue ...
متن کاملStress Analysis of the Human Ligamentous Lumber Spine-From Computer-Assisted Tomography to Finite Element Analysis
Detailed investigation on biomechanics of a complex structure such as the human lumbar spine requires the use of advanced computer-based technique for both the geometrical reconstruction and the stress analysis. In the present study, the computer-assisted tomography (CAT) and finite element method (FEM) are merged to perform detailed three dimensional nonlinear analysis of the human ligamentous...
